Makelle was born and raised in Chico, CA, and graduated from CSU Chico with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business. Her passion for agriculture was sparked by a lifelong love of horses, which led her to spend time working on ranches and develop a deep appreciation for the agricultural industry. After graduating from Chico State, she took an internship with the UC Cooperative Extension, where she assisted with a post-fire grazing behavior project to help impact policy change on public lands. This experience further solidified her commitment to supporting farmers and ranchers through collaborative partnerships.

In her personal life, Makelle enjoys horseback riding, hiking, reading, spending quality time with friends and family, and being outdoors as much as possible.

Makelle is excited to continue honing her professional development with Heritage and looks forward to assisting clients with meeting their needs.
